Get started with Deckle.

Your license key activates Deckle on up to 2 devices, so you can use it on your Windows, Mac, or Linux machine at the same time. If you ever replace a machine, just email us and we'll sort it out.

Download the installer above and run it. On first launch, paste your license key and you're done. Just purchased? Give it a few minutes to register before activating.

Once Deckle is open, you'll see a "Walk me through Deckle" button on the welcome screen. Click it for a guided tour of the app: it takes about five minutes and covers everything you need to start your first project.

Deckle imports a Scrivener project directly: chapters, scenes, synopses, notes, and research all come with it in one step, no rebuilding by hand.

Deckle checks for updates in the background. When one is ready, you'll see a prompt inside the app. All future updates are included in your one-time purchase, forever.

Your project is saved as a folder on your machine: you choose where when you create it. We recommend saving it to your Desktop for easy access. To open it later, just double-click the project folder. Back it up by copying the folder anywhere you like.
