Windows may show a blue box reading “Windows protected your PC”. That's SmartScreen, and it appears for any installer that hasn't been downloaded thousands of times yet. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Downloading in Microsoft Edge? Edge is the strictest browser about new installers and may block it outright. Firefox or Chrome will fetch it without a fuss.

Some antivirus tools quarantine anything they haven't seen before. If Deckle disappears after installing, restore it from quarantine, or write to us and we'll sort it out.
Your project is a folder on your own machine, wherever you choose to put it. Updates arrive in the background, and every one is included.
Open the .dmg and drag Deckle into Applications. Start it from there rather than from the disk image, so updates can install themselves.
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. That's a one-off, not something you'll do at every launch.

Run sudo dnf install ./deckle-1.7.0.x86_64.rpm in the folder you downloaded it to.
